Role Overview :
The Assistant Quantity Surveyor will support commercial delivery across several contracts, working closely with the lead Quantity Surveyor and the projects and operational teams within Smart Buildings. This will predominantly be achieved through robust risk and opportunity management along with a focus on compliance, both contractually and procedurally, to ensure that all projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience:
Either be a qualified or working towards becoming a qualified Quantity Surveyor
Solid experience of working as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor.
Comfortable with feeding into and advising on commercial strategy.
Ability to maintain and apply a good understanding of business objectives in all aspects of the role.
Experience of working with industrial installation projects, experience of site working preferrable.
Ability to liaise with site teams, external parties and contractors to discuss the progress of the project and to address any issues that may arise.
Strong & confident communicator able to successfully engage and influence at all levels of the organisation as well as with external contractors and suppliers to organize the phases of project development.
Ability to present information in a concise manner, both orally and written.
Experience of working in a quality led environment, with full adherence to systems and procedures, and a focus on continual improvement for all Smart Buildings projects.
Ability to identify, monitor, mitigate and manage project and operational risks.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
